A MUM and daughter duo made it through the auditions on ITV’s The Voice which was screened tonight.
Mum Jo Pue Richards and daughter Ava, who make up The Skylarks, auditioned on the ITV1 show as judges Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie, will.i.am, and Olly Murs listened on.
At this stage of the show, performers begin their audition with the coaches turned away.
If any of the four judges like what they hear, they hit a button, spin around and reveal the face behind the voice.
Jo and Ava, from West Kirby, singing in front of their biggest-ever audience to date, performed Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark.

Jo was on the violin and Ava the guitar, while they sang the hit song together.
Coach Anne-Marie pressed her button during the performance to select the duo for her team.
Praising their rendition, Anne-Marie said: “I just feel we haven’t heard folky voices yet, it was really interesting to me and the harmonies.”
Other judges Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and will.iam, while not pressing their own buttons, praised the mother and daughter on their performance.
