I WOULD like to warn the dog owners of Wallasey to be aware after my dog was savagely attacked by another dog in Central Park.

On Friday evening, September 3, at about 8pm, I was walking with my German Shepherd bitch Tilly towards the entrance (opposite Martin;s Lane) to leave the park.

Walking towards us was a woman with a huge mastiff type boxer cross, she moved over onto a grassy part to allow us past.

Then her dog dragged her on her back over to my dog where it pounced on Tilly in a viscous un-provoked attack and sank its teeth into her.

The dog was so strong it pulled its owner like she wasn't even on the other end of the lead, my dog was screaming in pain and there was nothing I could do except kick it.

The woman let go of her dog's lead and grabbed its tail while I dragged Tilly from under it we managed to get her free.

That dog is dangerous and should be muzzled when outside, it doesn't bear thinking about if it had attacked a much smaller dog.

My dog has two large, deep puncture wounds, one in the shoulder and the other in her chest.
