I HAD the misfortune to need to speak to a police officer in the Hoylake area on Saturday afternoon, so I drove to the new 'community police station' at Hoyle Road.
It was closed – no one around to ask for any information about what I should do either.
Seems you can only find a policeman from Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm these days.
I'm sure the local crooks will be delighted to know that.
It's just a pity your average hoodlum doesn't keep normal office hours otherwise these new policing arrangements would be perfect.
Oh well, that’s progress in Wirral I suppose.
