IN response to the letter by Glynn Parry of April 20 slamming dog-owners for not cleaning up after their pets, now you will see the replies from those who will forever criticise anyone who dares to say most dog walkers don’t clear their dogs’ mess up.

I say come to our woodland on the Mount Estate.

Every evening dog walkers bring their beloved pets to our small woodland and most of them take the leads off their animals and let the dogs run around to find a spot to leave their mess.

Then the owner catches up with them, puts their lead back on and without further ado walks out of the woods, picks up a stone puts it in a bag and deposit in the rubbish bin supplied.

How's that for caring about the children who play in there?

Now come on, caring dog walkers.

Start complaining – we know people leave other items, this is about dog mess.

Children come home with this mess plastered all over their shoes and hands trying to wipe it off with leaves from the woodland floor.

We all know there are responsible pet owners, but I see the irresponsible one also.
