I AM deeply saddened by the decision of Wetherspoon to close the Dee Hotel in West Kirby.
Before they took the time and effort to take over the pub, it was a dump.
The pub has been sympathetically restored and the place is now a lovely place for a drink.
The range of ales, the good-value, tasty food and the extremely friendly and helpful staff are a godsend.
The other pubs in West Kirby aren’t a patch on the value for money and service that the staff and the pub provide.
