REGARDING the letter by "confused" about not having a green wheelie-bin.
For the past few months, household rubbish has been dumped in the bin liners in an open bin in the park in Greenwood Road, Meols.
This week, there are three bags.
Is it possible that someone who has recently moved into the area does not have a green bin?
Are you entitled to a bin if the house you are in has been converted into flats?
Previously, one bin per household was supplied – now there are two or more households there.
Once bags are opened, the contents – food trays, cans, bottles, etc, will spill over the ground and are a magnet to vermin, foxes and flies, as well as a health hazard to those who have to deal with rubbish.
The answer to the problem would be a green bin for the person dumping the rubbish.
Name and address supplied.
