SO Tory leader Cllr Jeff Green is "at it again" (Tory call to reduce councillor numbers, Wirral Globe website).
No doubt he was also one of the 66 that also gladly took their allowance and expenses.
Perhaps the council would be the richer if he volunteered to be one of the 22 to go.
I seem to remember that he was council leader when the local authority had a massive overspend?
He also fails to see - due to his Tory blinkers - that his own government is causing the loss of funding. As vital services have to be maintained, the least needed has to go.
I will say, time and again, that the councillors that represent my ward do an excellent job and more than represent the needs of the population locally, despite what their political colours might be.
