Pay-and-display will create a ghost town
I SEE the council is now charging motorists to “pay and display” to park at the car park at Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton. Another cash cow has opened up. Now, how long before they start charging to park along the sea front?
I thought you were supposed to encourage visitors, not turn them away: 60p an hour or £2.50 all day, but will it stay at that price and for how long?
Before long, New Brighton once again will be a ghost town.
