I WRITE in reply to Dawn Hughes and her letter from May 6 regarding the closure of Lyndale School.
I don't know Dawn, only as a name at the end of a letter.
I admire her determination, passion, concern and obvious love for her child.
Lyndale should have been given priority status whichever party led the council.
We all owe it to these kids to do the best we possibly can for them and, like Dawn, I am staggered at what Phil Davies and his Labour pals waste money on – then blame it all on David Cameron.
Dawn, you may be losing as I write, but you will never lose in a lot of people’s eyes.
Believe me, you have gained the admiration of an awful lot of people.
As decent human beings, you, all the other mums and wonderful people at Lyndale, are in a different league from these Labour people.
Hopefully we will get our chance to get rid of them as soon as possible.
My wife and I can only offer our support and our very best wishes to you, your child and all the other mums and people at Lyndale.
Good luck and much happiness for a brighter future.
Ken Jones, Greasby.
