I WOULD just like to say a massive thank you to the strangers who stopped, helped me, and called an ambulance for me on March 10.

I had slipped while trying to cross near Tower Road; I managed to get myself up and out of the road initially, but the pain caused from the fall made me faint on the road’s edge.

I am very lucky not to have been hit by a vehicle as there are no proper pavements and it is a busy crossing point.

The gents were amazing, knew exactly what to do and what not to do and called for an ambulance.

I did not get any names but had it not been for them and their kindness to stop, help and protect me from traffic it could have been worse.

Thank you, whoever you are.

Laura Dodd, Wallasey.
