THE decision to ban smoking on Cheshire hospital grounds is a serious ethical abuse of privilege.
None of these administrators have any authority to issue public edicts.
Maybe the first option would have been to ban all non-essential vehicles from those sites including their own.
Conversely, dare I have the temerity to be ill, I have to pay for parking before I would be seen. Jumping on the popularist bandwagon without any evidence is not something I would expect for my continued financial support.
What else would these people deem to be unsuitable on these facilities?
This may well blow-up in their faces.
The UK is top of the world league tables in not deterring people from attending a hospital. Let’s keep it that way.
Mike Holt, Moreton.
