A NATIONAL poll by a highly-respected polling organisation – taken three months ago – showed 56 per cent% would vote to stay in the European Union, compared with 36 per cent who would vote to get out and eight per cent "don't knows."
This is the highest support for the EU since 1991.
Contrast this with a 'mini-poll' taken by Ukip themselves in three constituencies showing 80% in favour of the UK’s withdrawal.
Northwest MEP Paul Nuttall said: "I have no doubt the result would be that same across the whole country."
He knows this to be a totally untrue statement.
A mini-poll taken by me shows 100 per cent in favour of more cycle lanes; should I claim this would be the same across the whole country?
As Winston Churchill the wise statesman might have said: "There are lies, damned lies and Ukip."
Roy Wood, Noctorum.
