REGARDING the recent letter from Paul Nuttall MEP headlined: EU Rules Are Just Crackers.

I've recently returned from holiday in Nuttalland with my five-year-old daughter, Faragia.

It was a sunny, permanent 1951 there and was great to allow her to play on a proper concrete-floored children's playing area.

She could drink from and swim in rivers unaffected by stupid EU directives to clean them up.

After that I drove her in my lead-fuelled hire car to the relaxed atmosphere of the Great Crusaders public house filled with friendly smokers who were only too happy to breathe all over her and tell her that "things are exactly like they used to be."

After lunch I took her to the top of Ukip Rise, a local tourist spot, and pointed out to her the splendid view of the power stations burning lovely fossil fuels all the land.

I told her how stupid it was that countries like the UK were to think, even for a minute, that climate change exists, Co2 is bad for you and wind, wave, solar and thermal energy are useful in any way at all.

Paul knows best, I shouted at her.

We’ll be back next year for another holiday.

I would move us here permanently but I was refused a visa. Something about a fifth column…

Charles Riley, Hoylake.
