I HAVE the latest on the saga of the replacement of our Merseyrail rolling stock, the oldest in the country.
In view of the fact that the trains belong to Angel Trains, owned by HSBC, I believe, why are they not replacing the trains at their expense?
It seems strange to me that if Merseytravel/Merseyrail have to fund the new trains but not own them.
It would be like buying a Vauxhall car for cash and the car still being owned by Vauxhall.
A simple enlightenment from Merseytravel on this subject would be welcome I am sure.
