REEDS Lane in Leasowe is currently closed because of roadworks near Leasowe Railway Station, the railway line is blocked by cones on both sides, there are plenty of signs in Reeds Lane warning of the closure.
This morning I watched in amazement as a taxi driver got out of his car, moved the cones aside and drove through ignoring everything.
I shouted to him, but all I got was some obscenity.
Now, hopefully, the police can go to the railway station, check the recording for the driver's registration number and issue him with a fine and hopefully points on his licence.
Taxi drivers need to learn they are not above the law.
