THOSE residents of Wirral who subscribe to the garden waste collection service are being reminded to renew their subscription for the next 12 months; either by a leaflet of an email from the council.

As the hours at which the local collection depot is open at Clatterbridge are being reduced, are more subscribers being encouraged to enroll to avoid the inevitable extended queuing during the opening period?

Then there's the real possibility of paying up and the brown bin charge getting cancelled as a result of local and national elections. Then seeing how the council try to get out of paying refunds.

Recently a Wirral Councillor was asked when would the comical farce of the Brown Bin Collection, finally be resolved ? The jumpy little man rapidly changed the subject.
When asked again if the ones who actually pay for Brown Bin Collection are enough to make the whole scheme actually viable, then went into a long diatribe blaming the Coalition Government for the reason to impose the charges.
The questioner then asked how could he go about charging WBC for long term storage of an article he had not asked for in the first place, but had been dumped on his property without any permission.
The jumpy excitable little pip squeak then beat a hasty retreat without answering any of the questions.
So folks if you want more of the same rubbish service from a deeply disgraced WBC just cast your vote in the usual manner.
