Horrible people spoiling our area

Wirral Globe: Horrible people spoiling our area Horrible people spoiling our area

I LIVE in Glenalmond Road in Wallasey – nice road, nice people.

But many of these nice people are looking to move, why?

Because of the unruly, disrespectful and aggressive behaviour of others living in adjacent roads.

In the last few weeks, the police have been called to children causing damage to property and being abusive to adults' throwing glass into the road with no regard for passing motorists or residents’ parked cars.

My mother has lived in this area for many years and never encountered this kind of behaviour.

It is a very sad state of affairs when you can walk just two minutes down the road and find the river and a beautiful promenade, but feel you need to move home.

Can’t these people see what is around them?

Or do they just need to destroy and spoil anything that brings joy to others?

We don’t want to move, but for the sake of our children and their future we may have to.

How sad is that?

Sadly these people are everywhere :-( no moral compass, no common decency, no community spirit.

I've lived in Glenalmond Rd. for only 2 years. When I moved here, it was a nice quiet street, but in the last 12 months, it's really gone downhill. People screaming at 2am when walking in the middle of the road, cops being called out every day to chase off the kids damaging property, and with all the flats being built where Battyre and the garage used to be, I fear it's only going to get worse... :(

This is so true. The area has gone down hill with al the disrespectful children and parents. The police and the coucil do absolutely nothing and the parents dont care either. Something needs to be done and soon

Bring back the days when you could give a kid a clip round the ear for misbehaving, then if he/she went home and told their parents they got another one.
Regretfully the law is on their side, they can legally get away with it while both the council and police pass the book.It is time the balance was changed, changed so that action can be taken right away and not at some point in the future.

I feel so sorry for the people who live in this road and as Littlestar84 says people like this live everywhere. A friend of mine told me about where he lives. A horrible man has moved in and amongst other things is - “renovating” his house by leaving a half done roof, damaged render and rubble and rubbish in the front garden, he and his wife keep their wheelie bins and recycling boxes on the front – without any lids on so rubbish blows all over the street. He shouts in the street and takes delight in mocking a neighbour (who my friend thinks has OCD) by yelling “cuckoo” at her every time he sees her. He has children so is setting them a really good example.

It is such a shame as it was a nice area but now nice people will move to get away and other people like him will move in.

New Brighton has issues with some problem people and until they are sorted out it will remain the same. Its a nice place but some of the people seem stuck in a time warp and its about time the grew up and get a job.

No matter how much money is invested in the area it will not change too much as they bring the area down.
