Glad to read Wirral Council is to clean 'disgraceful' alleyways

Wirral Globe: Glad to read Wirral Council is to clean 'disgraceful' alleyways Glad to read Wirral Council is to clean 'disgraceful' alleyways

I WAS glad to read the council is about to restart cleaning up alleyways.

About time too.

So many have become a disgrace since they stopped clearing them.

It says a lot for how irresponsible people are around here, just throw your rubbish in the entry and forget about it.

So now the lazy and bone idle will continue to use the entries as their own private tip, cleaning and removal paid for by the rest of us.

The resources used to clean up this mess will be taken from somewhere else, meaning a lesser service in other area's.

When is WBC going to get some spine and start a clamp down followed by prosecutions of the guilty? but as per usual they take the easy option throw money at the problem.

Agree with uncatom regarding the mentality of the people who dump their rubbish, but will add selfish to the lazy and bone idle monikers. No doubt they're the same kind of people that have made the railway embankments between Birkenhead North and Park an absolute tip too! It beggars belief the amount and type of rubbish build up that has just been thrown over the walls, and the impression it portrays of the area to visitors travelling past by train can be nothing short of shameful. Glad WBC are cleaning up the alleyways, maybe they can have a word with Merseyrail! Ideal opportunity to use errant individuals slapped with Community Service orders to do something positive for their area and help with the on going clean up!

I kinda agree with the amount of litter that comes around my area I live in and it really bugs me that the council don't do anything about it.
