WHILE one must never condone threatening behaviour towards another, it's only fair to point out that Mr Frank Field (Death Threats Shock For Field, September 5) is the architect of his own situation by insisting he won't call a by-election.
Whether in the community or parliament, standing up to Mr Field makes him have a tendency to turn nasty himself: In 2015 school campaigners were "mean-spirited thugs" and now Corbyn's party members are governed by a "culture of intolerance, nastiness and intimidation."
Whatever one’s view on Mr Field, methinks the MP doth protest too much.
Going on the attack simply sends out the wrong message.
He chose to step down, now he should act according to Parliamentary rules and let the community have their democratic vote.
