REGARDING smoke-free grounds at local hospitals, there’s a very good reason why these nameless, faceless and anonymous professionals wish to remain so and that’s because they know they have no right or authority to issue such an edict.

Removing all non essential vehicles from the sites first would be a good start they are the real threat to public health.

Only a few months ago Theresa May said in the commons: “no patients, their families or friends should leave the hospital grounds for safety reasons.”

There is no legislation for this and isn’t going to be.

We are taxpayers as well and want the smoking shelters put up immediately, gone are the days when Labourites can issue statements and get away with it.

The same can be said for telling people they can’t take their dogs to the beach, who decided that and where was the democratic involvement of local people?

This involves thousands of people.

Jobsworths at it again, ignore them and demand answers.
