IF I was a dog, I wouldn't want to spend time on Wirral's beaches.
Unfortunately, they're not as nice as they may look.
I spend many hours a week cleaning them while I'm walking my dog.
Mainly I'm in Meols, Thurstaston and West Kirby area, but often in New Brighton too.
Every time I'm on the beach I fill a bag with washed in plastics and left litter.
I pick up countless bathroom products, cups, bags and everything else imaginable.
Now it's summer, the disposable barbecues and beer cans are back. 99.9% of what I find is left by humans, not dogs.
I have emailed two councillors to tell them about the success of the #2minutebeachclean board provided by Shore Cottage Studio.
Unfortunately, one ignored me and the other said this wasn’t really for the council to deal with.
