I AM extremely disappointed at the lack of information and publicity regarding the proposed parking charge scheme for South Parade, West Kirby.

Despite the consultation period starting last Wednesday, May 23, there has been no notices to households and businesses to ensure awareness to those affected should this scheme go ahead.

Unless you happen to chance upon a poorly-signposted poster board at the Concourse library (which we had moved to a more prominent position) or happen to read all public notices at the back of the Globe you would not even know that this potential major change to the way of life in this town was happening.

I fail to see how this constitutes a full and thorough consultation period for the above reasons.

What other measures do you have planned as part of this consultation process.

I would like to invite the council members involved in the decision-making process regarding the proposed parking charges to actually visit West Kirby and have a walk about/meeting with representatives of residents and shopkeepers to appreciate the impact of your proposals.
