WOULD a Conservative or Liberal- run council do any better than our present Labour council?
Increasing the council tax would indeed be a starting point for them also to being in revenue if they led the council.
Revenue has to be brought into the coffers to try and make up for the Government's huge cuts made to local councils, particularly those in the north.
Unpopular decisions have to be made.
Other parties leading the council would make equally unpopular decisions, maybe even worse decisions.
In what other ways can revenue be made?
Our present Government should ensure that high earners and big corporations pay their share of taxes and then use the extra cash to put more money into the NHS, social care and local councils.
When will they take steps to curb the big tax dodgers and make this a fairer country.
However, we all know why they don’ t do this.
