I READ, with some confusion, the statement by WBC leader Phil Davies (the Globe, Intervention on plan unwelcome, April 4) that 'It is for Wirral residents, through Wirral Council to determine our housing needs, and where new houses should be built'.
Is this the same choice that is being offered voters by the building of 160 band H houses on our green belt land?
Houses that are very expensive, and not required.
Houses, a hotel and golf resort that nobody wants or needs being built on a flood plain ... how very silly.
The planning committee say all is well.
I don't think so!
