NOW that we have a combined authority of six regional councils, is it not right that, each and everyone of those combined regions should now, combine their resources?
We have a government that refuses to contribute towards a local disaster, New Ferry township.
They say, that, the local council should pay for the clear-up and regeneration.
Businesses have been destroyed, homes have been wrecked beyond repair.
If this is the case, then is it unreasonable to expect that all combined authorities should use their reserves (of which there is over £500m) and contribute to the cost of the rebuild and regeneration following the New Ferry disaster.
Should the Metro Mayor now stand up and confirm this to be so?
