BEFORE Christmas I inadvertently parked in a disabled parking bay in Rowland Avenue car park, Higher Bebington, due to the poor condition of the car park signage.
I appealed the fine and twice my appeal was turned down by the council.
I then decided to appeal to the independent adjudicator, supplied the same reasons, this time along with photographic evidence and guess what, the council are now no longer contesting my appeal and I have won my argument.
I do not think therefore until the council repaint the signage to make those bays clearer, that motorists should be issued with tickets as I feel this is a test case.
Car parks sometimes I feel are seen as cash cows and the motorist is an easy target.
