THANK goodness in Wirral we still have an independent campaigning newspaper - the Wirral Globe.
Both the printed and online versions continue to provide residents with important, independent and balanced news stories.
I have read that Wirral Council, at considerable cost and possibly against local government rules, has produced two editions of Wirral View, although not one has been delivered to our home in Wirral.
I have viewed one version on-line and it completely resembles a commercial-free newspaper.
I can fully appreciate that organisations and charities are pleased to be given space in it, but at what cost?
So, to stop the risk of undermining Wirral’s free independent publications, save ratepayers money, communicate better and ensure delivery, I suggest Wirral Council publishes this information in a pull-out supplement and inserts it in the Wirral Globe for distribution, as Wirral Chamber of Commerce recently did - as long as it does not contain political content.
