Tranmere Rovers have completed the signing of winger Elliot Rokka on a one-year contract.

The 21-year-old has spent the last three years at Radcliffe Borough, scoring 16 goals fo the club last season - his performances earning him the Evo-Stick League Young Player of the Season award.

Rokka began his football career at the Academy at Manchester United to then spend a season at Riomaior in Portugal before moving to Macclesfield Town and progressing to feature in the first team.

Rovers manager Micky Mellon said: “I’m very pleased to be able to bring Elliot to the Club.

“He is a wide player who has a great attitude and wants to improve and succeed, and we believe with the coaches and training facilities at our disposal that we can give him the platform to do so at Tranmere Rovers.

“Last season, we lost wide players through injury and were unable to replace them with a similar type of player.

"We want to have that attacking threat in the wide areas so it is important to have those options available to us.

“Elliot has good running ability with the ball, his fitness levels are good and he’s an exciting player who will create chances and get supporters off their seats.

“He has an eye for goal and is a player we’re excited to be working with.”

Elliot said: “It has been a tough few weeks training with the squad but I’ve really enjoyed it and am delighted to have signed for Tranmere.

"The lads and coaching staff have been great and I am just looking forward to playing now.”
