TRANMERE Rovers' manager Gary Brabin says he hopes to choose from a stronger squad for this weekend's game against Lincoln City.
There was no game for the club last Saturday, as FA Cup first round action took place, so the squad used the enforced break to work on things they need to improve on.
The game at Sincil Bank Stadium on Saturday will be the third meeting between the two sides in the space of three weeks after a FA Cup tie and replay.
During this afternoon's press conference, Brabin said: "The lads have worked really hard, it has been very productive.
"We've done a lot of work towards improving things we want to do going forward so we've taken advantage of a couple of weeks without a game.
"We're still building, but I look at the squad we have now and I'm really excited. I wanted to add quality and we've certainly been able to do that."
Brabin is hopeful that he will be able to select from a stronger squad for the visit to Lincoln City on Saturday.
He said: "We've had a break and been able to use that to get up to speed with one or two injuries which will help us going forward.
"Adam Mekki has been training with us all week so he will be in our thoughts for the weekend.
Liam Hogan has stepped up his training today so, again, he could be in our plans but Adam Dawson is still a bit behind."
Assessing his squad, Brabin continued: "We've got a really strong group of players and, I'd like to think, a group of winners.
"Hopefully we will get onto a run that we are demanding of eachother and climb up the table. We feel we are getting better in every department. I'm always confident."
Looking back to their last encounter with Lincoln, he said: "I thought we played really well in the home game against Lincoln, but couldn't quite get the goal we needed and in the away game we were down to 10 men after 15 minutes so we had to play them at a disadvantage.
"I thought we gave a good account of ourselves, but that's in the past now and it's a game we're looking forward to."
