MOTORS earned another point in the Skrill North with a 2-2 draw away against Gloucester City.

Great strikes by Steven Tames and Danny Fearnehough had put Motors 2-0 up before strikes from Gloucester duo Jack Harris and Nat Jarvis levelled matters.

Motors opened the scoring on 11 minutes. Tames picked the ball up 25 yards out and rifled a powerful shot into the bottom corner of the net giving the goalkeeper no chance.

On 32 minutes, the Motormen doubled their lead. Louis Barnes' throw-in from the left found Fearnehough inside the penalty area who turned and shot in one movement and the ball flew into the net from 12 yards.

Just before half-time, Gloucester pulled a goal back when a deep free-kick was played in by Billy Jones and headed home at the back post by Harris.

Midway through the second half, the Tigers levelled the scores.

Striker Jarvis picked the ball up on the right edge of the penalty area and cut inside onto his left foot before drilling a low shot into the far corner past Zac Jones.

Motors’ chairman Alan Bartlam has urged fans to come along to support the club in their last two home games of the season

Last month, the Vauxhall announced its resignation from the Football Conference, to take effect from the end of the current playing season.

The reality of low gates and ever-increasing costs were cited as reasons for leaving.

Bartlam wants a fitting end to the club’s Conference North status.

He said: "Players and management deserve a huge send-off, not only for their recent efforts but over the full season and beyond.

"I want as many fans as possible to lend their support over these last two home games to show their efforts have not gone unnoticed and unappreciated".

Motors face Workington this Saturday, April 19, and Solihull Moors the following weekend, April 26.
