IN the Wirral & District FA's Sunday Amateur Cup second round, an excellent all-Wirral Sunday League tie between Forum Athletic and Bromborough Social had to be settled in extra time.

It was Forum who earned the nod after Andy Whitty made it 2-1 with a penalty shoot-out just minutes away.

It was a similar scenario for Lever Bushell Athletic who had Matty Boyd on target, but capitulated 2-1 in the extra period to arch rivals, Higher Bebington RBL.

On the minus side, it was curtains also for MSC Eastham who suffered at the hands of FC Ridger.

Ace marksman Stuey Hardman included a penalty in his hat-trick, as Bebington accounted for Great Float Social and progressed to the in the Wirral & District FA's Sunday Premier Cup third round.

Aaron Kearney was also on the mark in Sunday's 4-3 success. Tom Morgan struck twice and was joined on the score sheet by Adam Coulls, Steve Morgan, and Andrew Crawford , as Shore Villas's name went into the hat after they beat Windsor 5-2.

But despite a Jonathan Parkinson double, last term's semi-finalists Kent FC came a cropper after they lost 4-2 at Ellesmere Port outfit, Westminster.

It was a similar tale of woe for Towers, who had Kyle Wiliams, (2) on target, but dipped to a 5-2 defeat at Heygarth.

Primrose Liscard and Victoria Colts Seniors also said their goodbyes, after they were eliminated by Lions and former Wirral Leaguers, Stirrup, respectively.

The result of the day in Division Two belonged to Star Ozzys, who came up with the goods against current leaders Port Sunlight and pulled off a fine 3-2 win inspired by a Bobby Bradley double.

A further effort from Robbie Quayle completed the statistics.

Bromborough's Lewy Galloway had a field day against newcomers Grange, and weighed in with a hat-trick in Sunday's 5-0 victory.

Goals from Scott Wilson and Mark Bradburn had Gladstone Athletic in the driving seat at 2-1 against Wirral Athletic, but a missed penalty cost them dearly after the visitors equalised and salvaged a precious point.

Ben Percival and Jamie Payne bagged a goal each as Champions Bar beat Greave 2-1 and went level on points with the top three clubs.

But goals from Paul Ricci, Richie Hughes and Jamie McAllister counted for nothing, after Halfway House rallied through Andy Simpson, (3), Nathan Herbert and Sam Johnson in a 5-3 win.
