JUNIOR squash players from across Merseyside gathered at Heswall Squash Club recently for the Merseyside Junior Grand Prix Series.
Open to all clubs in Merseyside, juniors from Heswall Squash, Northern Crosby, Liverpool Cricket Club, Capitol Squash and Southport and Birkdale took part.
Event organiser, Andy Breen (LCC) said that a total of 50-60 juniors have entered at least one event so far with an average of 40 juniors at each.
Emily Carter, who heads the Junior Coaching team at Heswall, said she was "thrilled" to have nine young players from Heswall taking part in the series.
She added that squash is enjoying a great surge in popularity after being officially announced as the latest addition to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
The Merseyside GP Series finale will take place on Sunday, April 14 at Liverpool Cricket Club.
