OLD Parkonians and Wirral met in a local derby in Division One of the Cheshire Cricket League with the visitors winning narrowly by 16 runs.
David Lewis (63) led the way as Wirral made 147 all out with Daniel Berkson (4-39) and Jack Bates (3-33) the pick of the Parkonians bowlers. Adam Westwater (59) took the hosts close but Jack Cureton (4-30) and Faizan Abid (4-34) sealed the victory.
In Division Three, Tranmere Victoria's Liam Bica took 3-43 as Glazebury were dismissed for 215 before Vics batter Nitin Nagesh (64) led them to a five wicket win.
Burton narrowly lost in a thriller at Offerton after the hosts were bowled out for 244 with the visitors dismissed just four runs short of the target.
