SUTTON Athletic maintained their 100% start to the season in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division with a 7-1 victory over Blacon Youth.

The goals came from Connor Doyle (3), Lee Ludgate (2) and Peter Barnett (2).

Shaftesbury Youth improved their goal difference with an 8-1 win over Helsby FC with goals coming from Ian McGraa (2), Steve Large (2), Lee Griffiths, John McGraa, Ian Crawford and Eddie Jebb.

Tom Berry netted for Upton JFC in their 1-1 draw with Cestrian Alex.

FC Duddon Utd suffered their first defeat of the season in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship at the hands of Upton JFC Youth.

Upton won the game 2-0 with strikes coming from Mac Johnson and Sam Rockall.

Unitor returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Chester Nomads III with goals from Paul Wallace (2), Jason Bull and Leon Clarke.

Paul Seddon, Sam Colclough and Tom Barbet all scored for Crossway, but it was not enough as they went down 4-3 to Orange Athletic whose scorers were Sam Bramhall (2), Iain Thomas and Callum Handley.

Ian Johnson and Tom Fletcher netted the winners for Rossmore Rangers as they beat Hoole Rangers 2-1, Dan Burns the Hoole scorer.

Goals from Steve Harrison and Jimmy Gomez earned Shaftesbury Youth Reserves a 2-1 win over Hoole Rovers who had Ozzy Shabadi on the scoresheet.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division One Ellesmere Port Vets got their season off to a winning start by beating Tarvin Athletic Vets 6-4 with goals from JD Stanthorpe (3), Chay Dysart (2) and Peter McNulty.

Avenue Vets beat Blacon Youth Vets 4-0 with goals from Rob Courtney (3) and Danny Edwards.

In the Wirral District FA Amateur Cup St Saviours lost 5-4 on penalties to Heswall FC Reserves after their game had finished 1-1 after full time.

In the Wirral District FA Junior Cup AFC Park North beat Higher Bebington Kelma Vets 4-2 with goals from Sean Hyland (2) and Adam Bagley (2).

Capenhurst Villa Vets won 2-0 away to Ashville FC U18s and Neston Nomads Vets went down 4-1 to Newton Youth.

Higher Bebington Kelma lost 7-1 to Stockport Georgians in the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup Round One.

The CWFL Flexi 11’s midweek football leagues kick off this month.

It will be running divisions on Monday and Friday nights covering venues at Blacon High School, Ellesmere Port Sports Village, Vauxhalls Sports Club, Woodchurch Leisure Centre, Orford Warrington 3G and Moss Farm in Northwich.

A limited number of places are available at a couple of the venues.
