A THRILLING Youth divisions Cup Final saw an end-to-end encounter won in extra-time by West Kirby Wasps as they overcame AFC Liverpool to take the cup with 3-2 score line.

First blood went to Wasps as Mitch Glover scored, but on the stroke of half time Callum Morrison levelled the scores and the game remained even until extra time when Shaun Farrell restored Wasps lead, but an excellent Sean Wright goal for AFC drew them level again.

The winner then came from Wes Richardson for Wasps in the dying minutes of a fantastic game which was a credit to the league and well marshalled by the three officials.

Man of the match awards went to Jack Ireland (Wasps) and Tyler Dodd.

AM Plant Hire dug deep to open up a six point gap at the top of division One as they showed title form in beating Champions Bar 3-0, with Mark Plant, Kris Wu and Rob Bergwin firing the goals in a great team effort.

Ship Wallasey remain in the chasing pack following their narrow 1-0 success over AFC Tima who made them work hard for the points.

Grange Hearts pumped themselves up for a title charge in division Two when running out 3-0 victors over previous leaders Wallasey Oval, thanks to goals from Tom Williams, Dave Walmsley and Alan White and they now head the division by one point.

Parkview remain in the promotion pack after unravelling Matrix with a 7-3 defeat in which Paul Williams bagged a treble and Steve Kelly a double, but also in the mix are Wallasey Town who beat Poulton Vics (Chris Cousins) 3-1, with Lee Davey, Ben Speed and Mark Cullimore netting the goals.

On target for Cavendish in their 5-1 win over Eastham Rangers (Alex Woods) were Leon Jones-3, Lee Pinch and Nick Treagar.

The overdue Premier division Cup semi-final was decided by a penalty shoot-out after the game ended 2-2 after extra time and Millhouse overcame Great Float S&S 3-1 from the spot kicks.

Scoring in normal time for Millhouse were Jamie Quinn and Tom Quinn, with Lee Bridge and Robbie Black netting the responses.

The only Premier division fixture resulted in a great 5-3 victory for Cetco Europe as they dented the title hopes of Liscard Bronze due to Anthony Clarkson and Mike Ansaldo bagging a brace apiece and Jay Lutas claimed a single to complete the nap hand result.

Dundee Youth division action saw only one game and Neston Nomads showed Higher Beb the way when winning 4-2 with goals from Sean Hayward-2, Oliver Thomas and Jack Lloyd and the replies came from Toner and Nourse.

Shaftesbury Youth failed to take advantage of their games in hand when drawing 2-2 with Glenavon in the race for the Grove Youth division title, but had Tyler Davies as a two goal marksman.

Netting for Glenavon were Ben Mitchell and Danny Lamb.

A goal apiece from Will O'Leary and Faris Ramsey earned Gayton a 2-0 success over Shore Villa and AC Hoylake beat Princes Villa 2-0.
