A Wirral man accused of the rape and murder of his 17-year-old girlfriend today denied the accusations.
But 18-year-old Adam Lewis, facing Liverpool Crown Court via video link from Altcourse prison, pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing her.
The body of Hannah Windsor was discovered by police hidden in bushes on Bidston Hill, on May 19. A post mortem examination found she had died from multiple injuries.
Lewis, of Fairmead Road, Moreton, pleaded not guilty to murdering Hannah and two charges of raping her between May 15 and May 20.
Anya Horwood, prosecuting, told the court that his plea to murder was not acceptable.
He was further remanded in in custody to await his trial beginning November 19.
