THE public will be invited to give its views on Wirral's future health priorities during a consultation exercise next month.
Voluntary & Community Action Wirral are hosting the 'health event of the year’ on behalf of Wirral's new Health and Wellbeing Board.
Entitled 'Wirral's Health and Wellbeing Unconference; what's important to you?' it will be held on Monday, July 2.
Fiona Johnstone, Wirral's director of public health, said: "This is a unique opportunity for individuals and organisations to help shape Wirral's health services.
"Establishing the health & wellbeing needs will ensure that the Board can direct the necessary funding to address these priorities."
Annette Roberts, chief executive officer of Voluntary & Community Action Wirral added: "Wirral's communities are very diverse; nobody knows what challenges they face better than the people living in them, which is why I would encourage everyone to come along and have their say.
"The event will not be presentation after presentation, each topic will be chosen by the participants."
Taking place at St. Saviour's Church in Bidston Road, Oxton, the July 2 event runs from 9am – 4.30pm.
