POLICE are appealing for information about the death of a 54-year-old man from Bromborough.
Stanley Paul Gibbon was found unconscious on the pavement in Eastern Avenue on the evening of Thursday, October 12. He was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital where he died two days later.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11.30pm where they found Mr Gibbon lying on the ground. He had suffered an injury to the back of the head.
It is understood he was dropped off in the road by a taxi at 8.30pm but his whereabouts between then and being reported injured are unknown.
Mr Gibbon was white, 5'6" tall, with shoulder-length grey hair and a slim build.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Eastern Avenue or Port Causeway between 8pm and 11.30pm on Thursday, October 12.
