NEW Brighton’s new casino is celebrating its launch with a special charity auction.
The Grosvenor G Casino has enlisted the help of local designer Ben Mak to design and create a bespoke casino-inspired dress which will be sold off in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
And Miss Liverpool, Faye Ayers, was on hand to model the one-off piece of couture this week.
General manager Mary O’Connor said: “The dress is absolutely stunning and attracted a lot of attention when Miss Liverpool modelled it to mark the launch.
“We hope the bidding will raise lots of funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, so urge everyone to get involved, encouraged by the fact that every £20 of the final winning bid will help fund one hour of Marie Curie nursing care for people with terminal illnesses in local communities across the UK.”
The dress features a dramatic, high-necked collar with poker chips worked into the metallic silver fabric.
And it will also be home to it specially commissioned dress throughout May. To bid for the dress, visit http://stores.ebay.co.uk/mariecuriecancercareshop
The casino opens next Monday, April 30.
