RE: Suicidal Sunday cyclists show no sense (Globe, April 11).

It is frustrating to read yet another motorist's rant about "numbskull" cyclists.

Riding two-abreast is legal on any road although you should "single out" when the road is busy (not a legal requirement).

The Chester High Road on a Sunday is used by hundreds of cyclists on their way to North Wales as there is no alternative route.

Yes this is a dangerous road for cyclists but only when idiotic and selfish drivers give little or no room when overtaking at high speed.

It is a dual carriageway and therefore there is no reason why drivers can't first of all indicate then move into the outside lane to give as much room as possible.

It is obvious from his e-mail that Rob is not a cyclist and therefore will never understand how vunerable we are out on the open road.

Drivers need to be more patient and change their attitude towards cyclists.

How many more have to be badly injured or killed because of the careless and reckless driving that I see every time I get on my bike?

These riders are not being stupid, they are just trying to enjoy a sport that requires them to "share" the road with people who do not want to share it with them.
