TRANMERE Rovers have accepted an offer for Dale Jennings from one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Rovers have given the versatile striker the go-ahead to discuss personal terms with German giants, Bayern Munich.

The 18-year old could feature alongside such international icons as Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, fighting for a chance to play in such prestigious tournaments as the Uefa Champions League.

Manager Les Parry said: "Bayern have made us a very good offer for Dale and we don't want to stand in his way of making this incredible move.

"When a club with the size and history of Bayern come in for you it's the opportunity of a lifetime and I wish Dale all the best should the transfer happen.

"It also says a lot about the Club's youth system that one of the giants of European football is interested in signing one of our players."

The Bundesliga outfit are Germany’s most successful club side, having won 22 titles and 15 trophies, including the European Cup.

It is an extraordinary swift rise for Jennings, who only signed his first professional contract, with Rovers at the beginning of last season.

Jennings weaved and danced his way into Tranmere’s first team during the 2010/11 season, making his first appearance as a substitute against Charlton Athletic.

Jennings initially trained with Liverpool FC as a schoolboy, before joining Tranmere Rovers at the age of 15.

Tranmere received several offers for the 18-year old during the January transfer window but held off selling the star, who finally made 32 appearances, scoring six goals for Les Parry’s side.
