THE creation of a skateboard "wheel park" at Moreton would lead to vandalism, noise and disturbances, nearby householders claim.
The scheme, earmarked to be given the go ahead, is centred on a former bowling green in Lingham Park.
The proposed development has been opposed by many local people, but council officers have pointed out it would be at least 30m away from the nearest house and trees would act as a screen.
The site does not have special conservation status and planners believe the park would not be spoiled by the scheme.
Recommending approval, they said the proposal complied with Wirral's development policies and would not have an impact on the "urban greenspace" or quality of life of people living nearby.
A final ruling will be made by Wirral planning committee when it meets at Wallasey town hall on Thursday.
