MY neighbour was in a lot of pain and rang for the on-call doctor, who came within the hour, was helpful and contacted Social Services.
They in turn contacted me and arranged to have a commode delivered to my neighbour and for someone to come in and help her.
All this on a Sunday.
I was impressed I couldn't fault the NHS and Social Services. They usually only get bad press. At 72 myself, I feel reassured that if I ever need help, I will get it.
