BATTLING against relegation from the Nationwide Conference North, Vauxhall Motors face another two crucial league matches in the next few days against high-ranking clubs with aspirations of their own.
On Saturday afternoon, Carl Macauley's men play host to early-season pacesetters and FA Cup heroes Northwich Victoria in a Cheshire 'derby' at Rivacre Park (3pm).
The Motormen felt particularly hard done to in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign and with Vics now looking vulnerable, since their Cup run ended at Sunderland, now would be the perfect time for Vauxhall to claim three much-needed points in the relegation dogfight.
On Monday night, Motors travel over to Ewen Fields to face much-improved Hyde United.
On Friday night, Vauxhall picked up a valuable point in a 1-1 draw at Leigh RMI, thanks to a 30th minute goal by O'Donnell - a result which lifts them off the bottom of the table (see Page 82).
