IT'S not surprising that Wirral has such a deplorable recycling record, if our experience is anything to go by.
Both garden waste and paper collectors seem to turn up when they can be bothered to drive into the cul-de-sac in which we live.
A call to Streetscene, to report a missed call, elicited a disinterested "I'll pass it on" response. Is it any wonder that residents are apathetic towards recycling, when the recycling authorities are equally so?
