MY wife and I visited Parkgate, parking our car on the Parade opposite Mostyn School.
Security minded, and having regard to the advice given by the Police about leaving articles on view, my wife placed her handbag in the boot of the car. Someone obviously saw this happening . . .
After a short walk - no more than 10 minutes - we returned to the car only to find it been broken into and the handbag stolen. It contained money, credit cards and her mobile telephone.
An attempt to withdraw £200 was made in Neston within 10 minutes. Walkers at Parkgate, West Kirby and Burton Marshes, take care . . .
