Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday League with John Traynor
A BRACE of goals for Richard Foulkes, supplemented by strikes from Kevin Williams and Robert Foulkes, gave Division Two club Neston Nomads a 4-1 triumph over Premier Division side Brow in a fourth round tie of The Houlihan's Memorial Challenge Cup.
Queens Park (Andy Bolton, Lee Gibson, Liam Atherton, 2) took advantage of a 4-0 result at Houlihan's Variety Club as Dock (Gary Reay) only drew with a strong Shaftesbury side (Dean Stewart, pen) 1-1.
Darren Eaton scored all four goals for Woodchurch, 4-2 victors over Warwick.
Match of the day in Division One saw struggling Parkside beat leaders Rock Ferry Social (Paul Stewart) 2-1, with Parkside snatching the all-important points thanks to a last minute winner from Mike Malam. Mark Marriott scored the other.
Strikes by Neil Cook and Paul Atherton enabled Royal Sun Alliance to defeat promotion hopefuls Bidston Hotel to set up a super end to the season in the quest for promotion to the Premier Division.
Hoylake Athletic (Danny McIlroy, Ali Herbert, Paul Rowlands) moved into pole position with a narrow 3-2 win over basement club Young Lions.
