WEST KIRBY waste tip is to close for a £250,000 facelift starting in March.
The main elements of the scheme include new concrete hardstandings and road surfacing, new street lighting to the site and improved drainage.
To accommodate the redevelopment and in the interests of site user safety, West Kirby Waste Reception Centre will be closed to the public for the construction period, says Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority.
The authority apologises for any inconvenience caused to site users during the redevelopment, expected to last 15 weeks.
However, alternative waste facilities are provided at Clatterbridge Waste Reception Centre and Bidston Moss Waste, Wallasey Bridge Road, Birkenhead.
