NINETEEN-year-old Private Neil Wood, of Eastham, who joined the Army in February, 1996, is 'coming home' next week to promote Army life.
He will be located at Birkenhead Army Careers Office from February 9-16 to help encourage enthusiastic young soldiers to join the Cheshire Regiment. Private Wood is currently serving with the 1st Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment in Northern Ireland, after having completed his basic training in August.
While in Northern Ireland, Private Wood, who is also keen to promote the social aspects of Army life, has taken part in numerous sporting activities, describing the local sports facilities as "excellent".
