CRIMEWATCH UK is filming the murder scene of Spital pensioner Alice Rye. Actress Barbara Bolton, from Eastbourne, plays Alice, chosen for her acting skills and likeness.
It is expected to be screened in March. Det. Supt. Geoff Harrison welcomes the help of Crimewatch.
"I approached Crimewatch in the hope it will jog someone's memory. I am seriously concerned the killer might strike again. I have never come across a case like this in all my 35 years of service," he said.
Meanwhile, the murder hunt continues. Crimewatch director Tim Knatchbull said crimes shown on the programme are the ones least likely to be detected without the help of the programme and public.
